The Expression Method Of Filter Media Performance

The properties of the filter media include physical and chemical properties, mechanical properties and filtration properties. These properties depend on the physical and chemical properties of the filter media, the structure of the filter media and the manufacturing process.

Physical and chemical properties

1. Quality

2.ThicknessThickness is also one of the important physical properties of filter media, it has great influence on the permeability and wear resistance of filter media.For weaving, thickness depends largely on weight, yarn thickness and braiding method, and for felts and nonwovens, thickness depends on weight and manufacturing process.

3. 5. Electrostatic propertyThe movement of gas or the collision of dust particles will charge some filter media. This static charge has two effects on the filtration process.The force side lies in the attraction of anisotropic charge, which causes the dust particles to move the filter material opposite of the phase charge in the air flow, which greatly improves the filtration efficiency. The disadvantage is that the static charge and its gravitational force do not necessarily come to an hour at the end of the filtration stage.Ash cleaning is difficult, in addition, due to the accumulation of charged dust, electrostatic pressure increases, may cause flame explosion.Therefore, antistatic treatment is sometimes necessary, such as the antistatic properties of conductive fiber reinforced filter media.

6.Moisture absorptionThe moisture absorption of filter media is one of the indexes to evaluate its performance, especially when the dust gas contains some moisture, this property is more important.When the moisture content of dust-containing gas is high and the moisture absorption of filter material is high, the dust will be bonded, the filter material will be blocked and the resistance will be increased, which will lead to the deterioration of the performance of the dust collector.At present, foreign non-wet filter media, not afraid of dew, good performance.

7. Flame resistanceThe flammability of filter media is an important safety index in the process of practical use.The combustion of filter media includes several processes of melt oxidation and pyrolysis of polymers, which are often divided into four categories according to their flammable, flammable, flammable and nonflammable properties according to their own characteristics.Refractory and non-combustible filter materials can improve the safety of the operation of the dust collector.

8. Corrosion resistanceCorrosion resistance includes acid resistance, alkali resistance, oxidant resistance, reducing agent resistance and solvent resistance.Dust-containing gases often contain a variety of chemical substances, which requires the corrosion resistance of filter media.

9. Dimensional stabilityDimensional stability refers to the longitudinal and zonal expansion and shrinkage of the filter material.

10. Rigidity is a measure of the softness of the filter material.The only way to evaluate its characteristics is to feel it.The filter material of woven fabric is very soft and has almost no rigidity, while the filter material of felt and non-woven cloth has a certain rigidity because of the processing of the surface by using resin, which brings different requirements to the cleaning of ash
